The 302nd graduate academic weekend activity was held at theB110 classroom of Creative Building of Liberal Arts at 2 p.m. on December 16th, which was sponsored by Graduate Students` Affairs Department of the Party Committee of Nankai University and was undertaken by Institute of Finance and Development. Professor Wanji Jin of South Korea Sookmyung Women's University,as well as a full time director of the revitalization group of South Korea's small and medium-sized enterprises,made a lecture entitled “China-ROK relationships and China Economic Prospects” . The lecture was hosted by Professor Lihui Tian of Institute of Finance and Development. Young teachers and postgraduates and doctoral students attendedit.
Firstly, Professor Tian made a brief introduction to Professor Jin and gave him a warm welcome. Then, professor Jin shared his views on China-ROK relationships and China's economy. He said, the friendship between China and South Korea lasted for thousands of years. It had been 21 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992, which was similar to the age of the students present here. The exchanges of culture, education and art between the two countries were frequent and active, for example, the Han Liu and Han Feng had set off a rush for the people of the two countries, especially for teenagers. In addition, South Korean companies regarded China as the largest export market and trading partner, he believed that the two countries would become more and more closely connected in the field of economic and trade. As for China's economy, Professor Jin believed that China could still maintain rapid growth as long as it developed real economy and avoided excessive financialization.
The lecture lasted for more than two hours. At last, Professor Lihui Tian made a brief comment on it. What`s more , young teachers andpostgraduates as well as doctoral students communicated with Professor Wanji Jin on the China-ROK relationships as well as other questions. This activity ended with a warm applause.
